29 Oct 2021
Dear Parents and Carers,
As you are aware, Murray High School was made non-operational Wednesday, 27 October, 2021 for the onsite attendance of staff and students due to a member of our school community who tested positive to COVID-19.
The NSW Department of Education and NSW Health have been working closely to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained. This work has included identifying close contacts of the confirmed case.
The students and staff identified as contacts have been notified and asked to self-isolate for the required period.
Due to the current COVID-19 active cases in Albury, a number of staff have been deemed close contacts and are required under the NSW Health Public Health Order to be tested and/or isolate for a period of time.
This means that only minimal staffing will be available on Friday 29 October, 2021 on the school site for supervision purposes. This supervision will be undertaken in cohort groups in large and outdoor areas.
Learning resources for students staying at home will be provided. All students, at home or school, will be completing the one unit of learning for their cohort.
All students will be marked as present as flexible learning arrangements will be in place.
We will stay in close contact and keep you informed of any updates or changes.
The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.
Further information on COVID-19 is available on the NSW Government website.
Further information about the NSW Department of Education response to COVID-19 is available on the Departments website.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
