A year at our school

The Murray High School Year 9 and 10 debating team has claimed victory in the second round of the Premier’s Debating Challenge knockout finals against Kiama High School. Out of 342 teams in the year 9 and 10 division, we are now down to the top 16 teams in the state!
Competing on the affirmative side, the team tackled the challenging topic: “That the government should focus on constructing houses in regional centres rather than urban areas.” Congratulations Ruby, Isla, Shelby and Kaitlyn!

The latest project to come out of the Hands on Learning Program has been completed by Rousa Whyman, it involved him designing and constructing a key ring holder as a gift for his Mum. He enhanced the project with a dot painting using dark blue, light blue and white representing the colours of the sky. A great way for Rousa to combine his practical skills and a meaningful message.

Our Year 12 Software Engineering students spent two inspiring days in Melbourne, diving into real-world tech at Australian Manufacturing Week’s robotics demos and Monash University IT’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity labs.
